Pretty New Blog Template

Okay, so I picked a new layout a while ago and ended up losing everything I had done. Including all my links to other people's blogs. So if anyone wants to send me their blog again, that would be great! Either post a comment or email me your blog address to stacybarney@savmony.com. That would be so great! Thanks all!

Happy Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day. It's an excuse to get pretty flowers and have a date night! I love flowers and I think you can never get too many flowers. Not that I am given them a whole lot. But I still love getting them! : ) So I made sure that I wasn't scheduled to work at Chili's on that day so that Jerry and I could go out. Before I left in the morning, I set out little Valentine's gifts for the kids. They each got a book to use watercolors on and some candy. I left some candy and a card for Jerry as well. Then I went to work at Chandler Eyecare in the morning and Jerry and the kids surprised me with a dozen red roses and balloons and some cute cards that the kids drew for me. One of the balloons even sang the song "You're still the one" if you tapped on it. And of course Jerry had to hit it in a very full office at the time and embarrassed me even more! It was pretty funny because the entire office got really quiet when the music started going. Anyways, then after I got off work, we took the kids to Jerry's mom's house so that his sister Bronti could baby sit while we went to dinner. Actually, we went so early for dinner we dropped the kids off at about 3:30 so it was in between lunch and dinner and we headed for P.F. Changs for "dunch" or "linner". I joked with Jerry when we got there cuz we actually could have ordered from the lunch menu! I also sometimes think that Jerry is an old man in a young person's body because he always wants to go out to dinner SO early, especially today. His reasons are because he hates to fight the crowds and will not sit around for over an hour just to get into a restaraunt. Who could blame him, that is ridiculous. Anyways, we got right in and had a yummy dinner. Then we headed over to the mall to walk around and just be able to spend time with one another without the kids. We didn't spend very much time there, we figured out we are pretty boring people! Actually we just didn't want to be tempted to spend any money if we didn't have to. It was a great night. We weren't rushed at all, we didn't have to worry about making sure the kids ate their dinner or anything else. It was just a fun night out together. Thank you Jerry! You will always be my valentine! And I am truly grateful for that!

Where Have I Been?

I know, I know. I think everyone was wondering. Is Stacy still alive? And the answer is . . . Yes! I have just been dead to the blog world for a little bit. Needless to say, things have been crazy around here. And I haven't had a moments peace to sit down and blog. So sad! I know. There are many reasons why I haven't posted in a while. Let me just mention a few. I don't have time to go into detail at the moment. But I promise I will catch up. For now, Here is a list of reasons why I haven't blogged:

1. New Job At Chandler Eyecare - I am working about 32 hours a week there!
2. Still at Chili's 2 nights a week - (I get great insurance through them, so I gotta keep that for now!)
3. Young Women's calling - I am still really involved with the Young Women. I am a Beehive advisor and it is so fun, but yet time consuming.
4. Holidays!!!! Starting in November - A million birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and soon to come Valentine's Day!
5. 2 Beautiful Kids that I try to spend as much time as possible with. Since I have been working alot, I miss them and I want to spend as much time as I can when I am home!
6. My husband. The good thing about working alot is that I have laid aside Friday nights so we can have a date night. That has been amazing. It is just what we and the entire family need!

Now these reasons are in no particular order. The last couple of months have been pretty stressful, but I think we are finally getting adjusted. I do want to give a big thanks to my mom and Tricia and anyone who has helped babysit for us. That has been such a tremendous help to us, you have no idea. Anyways, I hope this is the start of a renewed start to the blogging. I have tons of pics to go through and I will catch everyone up eventually. Thanks for your patience!
