Hawley Lake 2008

We made our annual trip to Hawley Lake (Just past Pinetop/Lakeside). We look forward to this trip every year. Especially Jerry, he counts down the days, the day we leave the last year! We go up with Jerry's mom's family and rent a couple of cabins. We have such a great time with family and enjoying the wonderful mountain air and climate. Here are a few things that happened and that we love about Hawley Lake":

- Annual Horseshoe Game
- Volleyball (net made out of yarn!) : )
- Frisbee Golf (with a made up course)
- Crawdad fishing and playing at the lake
- Eat! Eat! Eat!
- Pulling out a huge stump to make room for the volleyball court
- The water not working! : ( (Not a fun time)
- Don't Eat Pete!
- Grandma's Fishing game for the kids
- Games, Games, And More Games!
- Beautiful weather, occasional rain, and nice and cool the rest of the time!
- Family Pics (for once our entire family except for gpa schupple were there!)
- Did I mention we ate?!?
- A New game they made up where they had someone see how many times they can run around the cabin without stopping! (It was supposed to be a joke, but it always ends up being a competition!) Jalen, Jerry, and Josh all took the challenge! (the kids tried to run along too! Every time they passed by the family we would cheer them on! We would even make a tunnel for them to run under! It was so funny because it was so dumb!

We love going to Hawley Lake, but it is far, and the cabins not so clean, beds hard as rocks, and when we don't get running water it can be a pain. We are thinking of going somewhere else next year. We are really disappointed, but hopefully we can find a better place to continue on the tradition. (If anyone knows of a place that can house around 30-35 people for a reasonable price, please let us know!)

Happy Birthday Briana!

My little girl just turned 3! Where does the time go!?!? I just wanted to write a few things of what I love about Briana!

- She gives the best hugs!
- She loves being a girl! She never leaves home without her purse, always wants me to do her hair and wishes that she could wear makeup!
- She loves to do anything mommy is doing! Whether it is making dinner, putting on makeup, getting ready to go somewhere, putting on sunglasses, eating sonic ice, etc.
- She is a great sister to Jackson! They play so well together (most of the time!) But she always misses him when he is at school and can't wait to go pick him up when it is time.
- She always prays for her Uncle Curtis on his mission, or mommy or daddy to get home safely from work!
- She loves to sing and dance to Hannah Montana, or the Cheetah Girls or any other song that she hears on the radio!

She is my little girly girl and I love her so much! She has brought so much happiness and joy into our lives! Happy Birthday Briana!
