Rain, Rain, Don't Go Away!

This past week has been such amazing weather! Who would have thought that it would be 70 degrees and raining at the end of May in AZ?!?! Well, the kids just had a ball. It has been so hot lately that we haven't really been able to play outside anymore. So when we got this great weather we took full advantage. The kids went outside and played in the sand, rode their tricycles and jackson rode his tractor. When it rained they even played around underneath umbrellas. Now everyday they ask when the rain is coming again. I'm so sad that it probably won't be back, but at least we had fun while it lasted!

Ace of Cakes (So to speak)

I love the Food Network channel! Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to have my own cooking show on tv. Now I am addicted to Food Network. I love watching Rachael Ray, Sandra Lee, Paula Deen, Etc. And one of my absolute favorite shows is "Ace of Cakes". If you have never seen it, you have to watch it! Duff is this amazing cake decorator who makes these out of this world cakes. Not just round or square ones, they are in any shape imaginable, like buildings, dinosaurs, people, airplanes, etc. One night we were all sitting down to watch Ace of Cakes, and they made this pirate ship cake. Jackson was in heaven. He kept asking "let's make a cake" So I said ok, then he said "let's make a pirate ship cake". Sorry to disappoint, but we did not make a pirate ship. The best we can do is a sheet cake. But they did get to decorate with their favorite color frosting and sprinkle any way they wanted. They had so much fun being little chefs. It was a fun night doing stuff together as a family.
