Our sweet little angel, Cassie Michelle Barney was born on Friday, October 24th at 5:06 p.m. She was 8 lbs, 3 oz. 21 inches long. Has a head of dark brown hair. She is so beautiful! We can't get over the fact that we have a new little baby in our family! Briana is in heaven. She can't leave her side! (we are going to have to keep an eye on her!) Jax is loving her from a distance! He's not quite sure what to do with her. But he is happy to have her home. I'm so grateful for all the love and support we have gotten from all our family and friends. Thanks to all!

It's Almost time!
The time is finally here for me to have our baby! I am so excited, nervous, scared, and every other emotion you can think of! We are getting induced at Banner Gateway on Friday, Oct. 24th if all goes well and they can get me in! I know I'm not due for another week, but I have an amazing doctor that doesn't mind inducing a little early! Thank you Dr. Huish! So I thought I would write down a few thoughts/memories of my time being pregnant, before it's over!
- We didn't tell anyone that I was pregnant for awhile, including the kids. When we told them, we showed them the ultrasound pictures. Jax was excited right away, but I think we scared Bri with the "scary skeleton" pics on the ultrasound, but once we explained it was a baby in mommy's tummy, she got excited too!
- When we found out it was a girl, Jax was not too happy about that! He really wanted a brother. But he got over that quickly and has been so excited for a new little sister.
- When we were deciding on names for our little girl, Jax decided he wanted to call her "Root Beer". Don't ask me why?!? He also started calling Bri, "Sprite", and me, "Dr. Pepper" (That should tell you something about our family's drinking preferences!)
- I had 2 weird ailments this pregnancy, that wasn't caused by being pregnant. The first was a weird skin rash on my face. (Which after anitbiotics, I got sick for 6 days and couldn't even go to work, but it did finally go away) The second is a numb right arm, that my dr. said was just carpal tunnel. But after weeks of not being able to sleep and waking up and having huge shooting pains in my arm or being completely numb, I finally went to the chiropractor. I actually had a pinched nerve in my shoulder. He helped it so much. It still goes a little numb, but I am able to sleep as normal as a pregnant woman can!
- I only had one craving which has been Ice! I love sitting and chomping on a big glass of ice, preferably Sonic Ice. (I passed that on to Bri as well!)
- I love that the kids always give my tummy a hug and a kiss and tell Cassie they love her. That has been my fave thing to see them do!
I could go on, but I won't. I have been so lucky to have a relatively easy pregnancy. I am so blessed to have a wonderful family always willing to help. I can't wait to see our new little girl, Cassie. I know she will be a great blessing to our family!

Family Togetherness Week
Our Stake is having a Family Togetherness Week this week. Which is perfect for us cuz that is all we are doing this week, getting ready for the baby to come. But actually, I am very excited that our Stake President was inspired to allow this, they have cancelled all meetings, activities, etc, and asked us as families to make every effort to focus our attention on our family. So Monday night for family home evening we carved pumpkins.
The kids had a blast. I think our pumpkins turned out really good. We even made a little pumpkin for Cassie! The rest of this week we are focusing on welcoming a new little addition to our family.

Barney Family Reunion
This last weekend was the Barney Family Reunion. However, this was not Jerry's family, it was for mine! Confused yet? Actually, my mom was a Barney and don't worry Jerry and I are legally married! : ) Jerry and I are related VERY distantly, but there is nothing to worry about there! Anyways, the reunion was at Freestone Park and we just had a potluck lunch and hung out and let the kids play at the playground, feed the ducks on the lake and of course ride the train. It was nice to see aunts, uncles and cousins that we haven't seen in awhile. The kids had a blast playing with everyone, even though it was still hot! It is october isn't it? Anyways, it was a nice time had by all!

Happy Anniversary!
Jerry and I had our 7 year anniversary today! Boy does time fly! I still remember the day he proposed! And now here we are 7 years later, almost 3 kids, already in our 2nd house! It has been a great time so far, Jerry is truly my best friend, the best father to our children, and a wonderful person. He is one of the hardest working people I know, always ready to volunteer to help when it is needed, and always has that wonderful smile on his face! This past year has been full of ups and downs and many, many sacrifices. But I know it has just made us stronger and made us rely on each other even more. He is my rock and helps me when times are getting me down. I know he can't wait to see our new little one and I am grateful for the promise of eternal families and especially that he is my eternal companion. Jerry I love you with all my heart! I look forward with wonder and amazement to the rest of our lives together and throughout eternity!
